Setting Up Fishbowl

Fishbowl restricts simultaneous connections for the same user. To prevent issues it is highly recommended you set up a user specifically for CartRover to use

You must provide a static IP or domain name for CartRover to connect to your Fishbowl instance. You may also need to open the fishbowl port on your firewall to allow us access. If desired, you can restrict access to only the CartRover IP Addresses.
If you do not have a static IP, you can use a Dynamic DNS service like FreeDNS.

Step-by-step guide

  1. In the WMS Setup tab of CartRover, select Fishbowl
  2. Enter your Fishbowl Server, Port, Username, and Password.
  3. In order to prevent syncing issues, select the timezone your Fishbowl server resides in
  4. Click Test
  5. When first connecting you will receive a message in CartRover to activate the app
    1. If you receive an "Invalid ticket" error, this means you either have too many users logged in to Fishbowl, or your username/password are incorrect.
  6. Follow the instructions provided: Login to Fishbowl as an Admin user and approve CartRover access in: Setup > Settings > Integrated Apps
  7. You will see CartRover Listed. Select the CartRover row, and click the green check icon to the right to approve access.
  8. Return to CartRover and test the connection again, this time you should see a Success message. Click OK at the bottom to save.

Step 4 will fail if your have not properly opened up access to your fishbowl server and port in your network firewall.
Do Not use your "Fishbowl Anywhere" server name and port. Fishbowl does not support that. You must use the Fishbowl server and IP directly.
